Ahhhh, the Holidays...

Well, I must say, I'm relatively excited about traveling for the holidays.  Mom and Dad tell me we are traveling to Omaha, Nebraska for a few days to spend Christmas with my family there.  Apparently, I've got a bunch of aunts, uncles, cousin's, gma's and gpa's there that I haven't met.  That should be a pretty cool trip if I can make it through the drive up there with my parents and grammy and grandpa in the car for 7 hours.  I know I'm excited about seeing Great Grandma and Grandpa Crellin as I've heard a lot about them.  And it's always good to see grandma Sue and Aunt Katie, I haven't seen them since I was born.   We're also supposed to be going to Oklahoma for the holidays.  Wednesday night should be a doozy with 500 people heading to Aunt Chelle's thursday night.  We are bringing SEVEN dozen tamales...what family eats seven dozen tamales??  I also can't wait for Christmas morning...mom and dad have been talking it up and it sounds like it should be a memorable experience with the rest of the family.

Yesterday was a milestone.  Not only was it my 3 month birthday, but I also figured out how to roll over from my belly to my back.  Dad and mom made a big deal of it and  they even got it on camera, so check out the videos I've added to the bottom of this post.  I'm also slowly figuring out how to use my hands.  I about made mommy cry yesterday because I had lost my pacifier and was desperately trying to put it back in with my hands, I don't quite have the dexterity for that yet.  I'm getting much better with my head control and before to long I'll be able to sit by myself in my bumbo.

Most everyone reading this should be getting our family Christmas card in the mail soon.  You better enjoy them because it was fuh-reezing during those pics.  They had me laying on a dead tree and and on a pile of dead leaves with bugs crawling around everywhere for 'em.  It was a little creepy but we made it through it.  I think they turned out pretty well so it looks like we all won.

So I'm going bald.  Apparently I get that from my dad who didn't have hair til he was like 4 years old.  Outside of my white trash rat tail and peach fuzz on the top of my head, about the only hair I have left is at the top of my buttcrack....hopefully thats not a sign of the future as I'm pretty sure chics don't really dig that.

Well, I probably won't be back to blogging until after the holidays to until then, Merry Christmas and God Bless.

Life is Good

Let me start by addressing that I am fully aware that I've been slacking lately with my blogging.  I've been very busy and, to be honest, the holidays only make my life that much more chaotic.

My first thanksgiving was pretty cool.  Any holiday that consists mainly of eating, sleeping and watching football has my vote.  However, I must admit it was a bit disgusting watching dad see just how much of mom's gooey butter cake he could cram into his face.  Of course I didn't get anything to eat except milk but I clearly have a lot to look forward to on future holidays.

I had my 2 month doctors appt (a bit behind schedule) last week with Dr. Yap, which had its ups and downs.  The up was that I'm apparently growing at a healthy rate.  I'm in the 90th percentile in weight (13 lbs 7 oz)  and off the charts in length (25.5 inches).  Who knows what that means but they tell me its healthy.  The bad part was I've got a pretty severe case of craddle cap and eczema but Dr. Yap prescribed me some meds that should take care of it.  Next.....I got shots.  Two to be exact.  Mom said I cried but I'm pretty sure I just flinched and took it like a man.  I happened to yawn right before the shots so that clearly explains why my eyes were watering.

I think I've finally got this smiling thing down pat.  Dad thinks I smile because he's funny, but I don't have the heart to sit there and stare at him when he's trying to make me laugh.  He's pretty unfunny.  I'm still working on the laughing and talking.  Every once in a while I manage to let out a loud yell but I'm still not real sure how I do it yet.  It usually just comes out as a violent full-body flailing when I try to talk, but I'm working on it.  I think I've got a couple of videos of me trying to talk so hopefully dad will get those uploaded and yall can take a look.  Later on.
