Today was filled with morning bible study for mom, playtime at church for me, and an afternoon trip to see Dr. Yap. I am pooped. I totally missed my morning nap and was woken up from my afternoon nap. I was not happy and am so ready for bed. Anyhow, my trip to Dr. Yap's office consisted of a lot of poking and prodding, a short game of feet peek-a-boo (that was really the highlight), sitting on weird, crunchy paper, lots of questions, and finally, two really painful shots! Wow, I was not happy about those. Could they warn me about it or something...I mean the pain just came out of nowhere! Mom tried to comfort me during and after the trauma, but I could hardly be comforted. I felt a little better when that shot lady left the room, but was still dealing with my throbbing thighs!
But other than the traumatic shot experience, Dr. Yap says I am doing well. I weighed in at 23.10 lbs. and am 31 inches long. Apparently that equates to about 80th percentile in height and 60th percentile in weight. My head is only in the 25th percentile, which is pretty crazy considering my dad has such a large noggin. :) At least it is over until next time.

I am 1!
Well, I made it to the big 1! I had no idea what a fun celebration this day would be. First, we started off the day with mommy, daddy, and I praying for a good day and mommy and daddy telling God how thankful they are for me. I am so thankful for them too. I may not be able to say the words yet, but I try to show them by a hug, kiss, and a sweet pat on the shoulder. I think they get it.
Our next step of the day (after breakfast and a nap, of course) was lunch, cake, and presents at Grammy and Grandpa's house. Grandma Sue, Grandpa Len, Aunt Katie, and of course, mom, dad, Grammy and Grandpa joined me for this "1st" party. This was pretty fun and I was very interested in the light on top of my cake...I'm not sure why they would never let me get my hands on that thing! The cake was good, although I was already so full from lunch, that I didn't have much room left for cake, so a few bites and I was good. (Smart thinking by mom! :) ) Then presents! This was really fun...lots of crinkly paper and fun new toys!
After my second nap, off to the tailgate and my "official party" we were. By this point, I was frankly still a bit tired and really not ready for what lied ahead...too many people, lots of noise, and frankly, just a lot of chaos. Everyone else seemed to have a good time, but I would have much rather just stayed at Grammy and Grandpa's and played! But, I managed to have a decent time and it was really nice to see everyone! Thanks everyone for coming to my party! :)

Learning to walk
I have been working for some time on this walking business and I think I might just be getting it. Mom and dad bought me this cool train thing, which does a ton of cool stuff, but really helps me walk. I love it.
Note from mommy: Hogan is really getting the hang of walking, with assistance that is, and is wanting to walk around with his train constantly. I am so glad that he wants to walk, but man, sometimes it wears me out having to follow him around and steer the train...he gets stuck all the time...hasn't quite got the turning thing down yet! :)
Note from mommy: These pictures were actually taken 3 weeks ago. He did great then, but is really cruising now. I will have to take some new pics of him walking with his train and upload those later!
Stopping to wave!

My first OSU game
Although I attended a tailgate last year, this year I attended my first OSU football game. And I must say, I did not enjoy it too much. Wow, a ton of people all screaming at the top of their lungs while we are all packed in like sardines. I just don't get it.
Couldn't get Kaden to be serious!
Tailgating before...this was much better than the game. At least I could move around out here!
Trying to steal mom's coke!
Uncle David's facial hair is very interesting...
