6 month check-up

Well, it has been a couple weeks since I went to see Dr. Yap for my 6 month check-up, but we have just been so busy enjoying the nice weather, that I haven't had the time to blog about it yet. My schedule is very tight these days between eating, sleeping, walking with momma, going to church, and playing with dad.

Anyways, I believe I passed my 6 month check-up with flying colors. I was still in the 75th percentile in weight and off the charts in length. My weight was 18.6 lbs and my length was 28 3/4. Mom says she thinks I've even grown more since then. I am still really liking my oatmeal, most days, and am loving all the new vegetables that mom keeps giving me. We are currently on sweet potatoes and I like them ok. I think carrots are still my all time favorite. I wonder when I will get to have those again?! Mom tells me that pretty soon we are going to add fruits to the diet. Not sure what that is, but she tells me I will like it. She actually gave me a little taste of her peach the other day and I must say, if that is fruit, I'm all in. It was scrumptious!

The latest things that I am working on are sitting up by myself. I pretty much have this mastered and have gotten pretty good at catching myself if I do lose my balance. I am also really trying hard to get moving around more. I am learning to crawl...at least that is what my mom calls it. All I know is that there always seems to be something I want, but cannot quite get to!

Well, I think that is about all for now. Here are a couple pics of me at 6 months.

I love walks!

I am so happy when I wake up from a nap. I have just discovered sleeping on my tummy.

I think I should be doing everything daddy does!

Day in OKC for Cuz Kohl's play

Last week, or maybe the week before that now...I am losing track of time, we headed to OKC for the day to watch my cuz Kohl make his big debut in his school play. The name of the play was Arf! and Kohl played the part of Rodney Rottweiler. He did a phenomenal job! Below are some pics from the day.

Loved Kohl's play!!!

Discovering my tongue!

I love how this thing works!!! A note from mommy: at about 4 1/2 months, Hogan really found his tongue. He is always doing hilarious things with it...it is so funny!

My new found love of my sippy cup

Mom and dad recently decided that it was time to start more foods since apparently I am doing well with the cereal now. (Mom bought me some oatmeal instead of that nasty rice cereal and I must say, it is delicious! I could eat my weight in that stuff!) Anyways, so I have now been eating carrots for several days and am loving those as well. They are delicious...I ate my entire first serving without pausing for air. Mommy keeps calling me her little pig. She keeps saying what a great appetite I have. I guess that's why I can't seem to sleep through the night without eating anymore! He he! Along with my love for food, I have also been introduced to this thing called the sippy cup. What a great invention. I love the cold water on my gums. Other than the fact that I get completely soaked every time I drink my water, I thoroughly enjoy it...Mommy has to pry the sippy cup out of my hands.

I love my oatmeal!

...and I love my carrots!

Visit from Grandma Sue

I'm a little behind on this post. Grandma Sue came to visit a few weeks ago. We had such a great time, so I had to include a couple pictures from the visit. As always, you can check out more on the flicker photostream. The link is on the left. Love you Grandma Sue!

Here I am getting momma!
