Howdy everyone. I've been a little under the weather lately but Aunt Chelle threatened me if I didn't write another post for the blog soon, so here I am. Lets see....the last 11 days have been pretty uneventful except for the fact that I've had big green boogers for the last several days that are really impeding my ability to breath at night. I try to sneeze them out relatively frequently but most of the time I end up having to cry so mom or dad can come suck them out with the big blue booger sucker thing that is really uncomfortable. Long story short, I haven't been sleeping well lately, buuut life goes on. Mom is taking me to the doctor tomorrow to make sure nothing more serious is wrong so that's good I guess; I like Dr. Yap.
I had my first bath a few days ago...that was...wet. They thought it was funny when they poured the semi-warm water (and I use that term loosely) and I began flailing about. Mom thought the water was too warm and dad and I thought the water was waaaayy too cold. Apparently mom thought 55 degree water was going to burn me. You'd think she would have got it after I peed everytime she rinsed me, but who knows. Overall, I thought it was pretty cool...at least it was something different.
Grammy, Grandpa and Kell-kell came to visit the other day and we had a whale of a time. We pretty much watched football all day and I watched everyone eat tasty food. Dad yelled at the TV a few times which caused mom to yell at him so that was pretty dysfunctional. The day ended with me falling asleep in my favorite spot, Kell-Kell's arms.
Well, I've got a bit of a tummy ache so I'm out. Adios.

Family Pictures and My First Doc Appt
Thursday was family picture day at the Howerton household and mom and dad thought it would be cute to get some pictures of me in my birthday suit. Lets just say it was an interesting time. First of all, the photog session landed during one of my feedings so, naturally, mom and dad learned a valuable lesson there. Second, I tried to tell them that I don't exactly have control over my bodily functions yet so the naked thing wouldn't be a great idea. Boy was I right. I started with dad, right in his lap and down the front of his shirt. He had no clue what to do. The next pose was me lying on my back on this noodle thing. My goal was the highest pee stream I could muster, over the noodle, and on the floor. I figure I got about a foot in the air, with great trajectory....not bad for my first try. Hehe. Lastly, it was my moms turn....a handful of poo. She never flinched and caught the whole thing in her hand. I was impressed. Ya know, she's really beginning to get this whole mommy thing down. In the end we got some really good pictures, my favorite was the one of me on my back with the pee stream in the background. Or the one of me in my OSU stocking cap, I'll look pretty suave in that.
On Friday was my first post-hospital doctor appointment with Dr. Yap. Nothing too eventful transpired, but we did find out that I now weigh 7lbs even and I've grown a quarter of an inch. Dr. Yap said everything looked fine and that I am perfectly healthy, another blessing from above as mom and dad put it. Alright, it's nap time, I'm out!

The First Two Weeks
Hey gang. Sorry it's been so long since my last post but I've been kinda tied up. The last two weeks have had its ups and downs, mainly because we are all trying to figure each other out and get into some form of a routine. So far I think we've all settled into a "mommy feeds me-daddy burps and changes me-playtime-then I nap" routine. We try to repeat that every 3.5 hours or so. I'm finally getting this breastfeeding thing down, however, I'm not much for eating at night time...I need my sleep. After I've had enough to eat and I'm sleeping like a rock, dad usually wakes me up for burping and a diaper change. I usually pay him back with pee on the arm or fart in the face for my troubles. The only downside though is I peed in my own face and ear yesterday...that wasn't cool. Mom says I can hold my own with anyone in the farting arena, apparently I take after my dad. I really don't have much trouble sleeping, that is quickly becoming one of my favorite past times. Well, we're getting ready to go get our pictures taken, so I'll let you know how that goes in my next post. Later on!
