riding in the shopping cart big boy style

I had a fun new experience today. No longer am I a baby who rides in my car seat in the shopping cart...I have now graduated to riding big boy style in the shopping cart. What a cool, new experience. I loved it. It was so exciting. I could see so many more things. I did have a death grip on the orange bar though...wasn't too sure how good my mom was at controlling this contraption!

My first slide!

Thanks to our awesome neighbors, I now have my first slide! My neighbors, Riley and Reese, told me that they loved this slide when they were little, but I didn't know what to think. Well, the verdict is in. I love it. Unfortunately, I really cannot work my magic on the slide all by myself just yet, but dad helped me out and it was fun. Can't wait until I can go solo on this thing!
Note from mommy: it is hard to tell in this picture, but Hogan was very excited to be on his new slide...he was doing his excited, rocking back and forth thing, sitting up there on the slide. It was so cute! It just cracks me up when he does his excited dance!

What ma?!

This is what I walked into yesterday...Hogan on the move and taking down everything in his path! I am terrified of the freedom and independence that crawling and walking bring with them!

My first Easter!

My first Easter was great. I got to go to church and learn about Easter. I learned that Easter is the celebration of Jesus rising. I'm not exactly sure what that means, but mom and dad sounded really excited about it and said it was very important, so it must be!

After church, we went to the Wood's (our neighbors) family Easter. It wasn't quite the same as being with our family, as we usually are on holidays, but we had a good time. I hunted my first Easter eggs. That was fun. They tasted really good. :) After lunch and the Easter egg hunt, I was zapped. When we finally got home, we all laid down for a nap, but I just couldn't settle down. I laid in bed and talked to mom and dad (although dad was sleeping the whole time and mom was trying) for a solid hour and a half. Finally mom gave up on the nap and we got up. After dinner and a bath, the day was concluded. Pretty uneventful, but a first nonetheless. We got some cute pictures out of the day. Take a look!
